The DOE/EIA weekly benchmark diesel price rose to $4.055/gal on February 22, the highest since March 2013. It was the seventh straight weekly increase, totaling 44.2 cents, while CME ULSD futures had fallen from their February 14 peak.
The rising benchmark diesel price feeds into fuel surcharges and trucking costs, adding to the delivered cost of feed ingredients in the US.
After 109 past bullish report events, ULSD / Diesel moved a median +0.2% over 5 sessions (51% higher; middle half -3.3% to +3.9%), and +0.3% over 20.
