EIA data showed US ethanol production rose 31,000 barrels per day to 1.028 million bpd in the latest week, 90,000 bpd above a year ago. Ethanol stocks also climbed to 25.271 million barrels.
Higher ethanol output means more DDGS coproduct available to feed markets, which is mildly bearish for DDGS and supportive of corn demand from crush. Rising stocks add a bearish signal for ethanol pricing.
