Malaysian palm oil futures fell for a sixth straight session after MPOB data showed end-August stocks rose 22.5% to 2.12 million tonnes, the highest in seven months. August exports also declined to 1.22 million tonnes.
Rising inventories and weaker exports signal a looser market, which pressures palm prices lower.
After 96 past bearish report events, PALMOIL moved a median -0.1% over 5 sessions (48% higher; middle half -1.3% to +1.6%), and -0.9% over 20.
