Russia's ban on diesel exports ahead of winter has raised concerns of another supply shock. Diesel prices in Europe and the Americas are already elevated from seasonal refinery shutdowns and strong demand.
If the Russian export ban is extended, importers such as Brazil and Turkey would turn to other suppliers, which could tighten global diesel markets and raise freight and farm fuel costs.
After 90 past bullish policy events, ULSD / Diesel moved a median +1.4% over 5 sessions (66% higher; middle half -1.9% to +4.1%), and +0.1% over 20.
