FranceAgriMer raised its 2023/24 forecast for French soft wheat exports outside the EU to 9.80 million tons from 9.50 million, while cutting intra-EU shipments to 7.33 million tons. It also raised barley exports outside the EU to 3.10 million tons and projected larger end-season barley stocks.
Higher French wheat and barley exports to non-EU buyers tighten competition in export markets, though larger barley stocks add some offsetting supply.
