South Dakota State University released two new oat varieties last fall, SD Momentum and SD Titan. SD Momentum can be used for forage or milling, while SD Titan is aimed at forage and has higher yield than Goliath.
New varieties affect future oat supply and flexibility between feed and milling uses, but they have no near-term price effect.
