The Canadian Dairy Commission announced a 2.8% farmgate milk price increase effective February 1, 2027, equal to about C$0.0259 per litre. It also raised carrying charges, for a combined processor cost adjustment of 2.8245%.
Provincial approval is still required later in 2026.
A scheduled farm-gate increase raises the cost of milk for Canadian processors and supports dairy prices in 2027. The effect on feed demand is limited, since the change is administrative and modest.
