USDA's August WASDE raised 2024/25 U.S. corn production to 15.147 billion bushels on a record 183.1 bu/acre yield and lifted demand, while lowering new-crop ending stocks. The report also revised soybean and wheat estimates.
A larger corn crop with tighter ending stocks is a mixed-to-supportive signal for feed grain costs, as the bigger supply is partly absorbed by higher use. Feed buyers should watch whether the stock reduction holds in later reports.
After 770 past neutral report events, Corn moved a median +0.2% over 5 sessions (54% higher; middle half -1.1% to +1.6%), and +0.7% over 20.
