RaboResearch says global milk supply across the Big 7 export regions will grow 0.5% in the second half of 2024 and 0.8% in 2025. U.S. October milk output rose 0.2% year over year, the third straight annual gain, with 2025 expected to grow 0.9%.
Modest global supply growth is not expected to overwhelm demand, so dairy prices should stay firm but ease in 2025, a mildly bearish signal for milk values.
After 273 past bearish report events, Milk (Class III) moved a median -0.2% over 5 sessions (39% higher; middle half -1.3% to +0.4%), and -1.4% over 20.
