EIA data show U.S. ethanol production averaged 1.015 million barrels a day in the latest week, the lowest weekly average since late September 2024. Ethanol stocks fell by 152,000 barrels and exports rose to 179,000 barrels a day.
Lower ethanol output means less corn ground and fewer DDGS produced, which is mildly bearish for corn and supportive for DDGS prices. The effect is small because output remains above year-ago levels.
After 1,102 past bearish report events, CORN moved a median -0.2% over 5 sessions (47% higher; middle half -1.8% to +1.3%), and +0.0% over 20.
