Five OPEC+ sources said the group will accelerate its oil output hikes and could return as much as 2.2 million barrels per day to the market by November. The report said Saudi Arabia is seeking to punish some fellow members for exceeding quotas.
The sources spoke ahead of the group's planned meetings.
An accelerated return of 2.2 million barrels per day would significantly expand supply and push crude prices lower. Weaker crude reduces the energy-linked support for biofuels and vegetable oils.
