USDA raised 2025/26 corn production by over 1 billion bushels to 16.742 billion, on higher planted acres and yield. Ending stocks rose 457 million bushels to 2.117 billion, the highest in seven years.
The farmgate corn price was lowered 30 cents to $3.90 per bushel.
Higher U.S. corn production and stocks, with a lower farmgate price, point to a bearish corn market and cheaper corn for feed mills. Higher feed and ethanol use projections partly offset the supply increase.
After 1,102 past bearish report events, Corn moved a median -0.2% over 5 sessions (47% higher; middle half -1.8% to +1.3%), and +0.0% over 20.
