The EIA reported U.S. ethanol production averaged 1.126 million bpd for the week ended Nov. 28, up 13,000 bpd week-on-week and 4.7% year-on-year.
Domestic ethanol inventories rose 543,000 barrels to 22.511 million, still 2.1% below a year earlier. Midwest output was up 5.1% year-on-year.
Higher ethanol output raises corn grind and co-product supply, supporting corn demand while adding DDGS to the feed market. Inventories still below last year limit any bearish pressure on the ethanol complex.
After 1,040 past bullish report events, Corn moved a median +0.5% over 5 sessions (62% higher; middle half -0.9% to +2.0%), and +0.8% over 20.
