A weekly dairy review based on the June WASDE estimates 2026 U.S. milk output at 236.4 billion pounds, up 4.7 billion from 2025. Whey, nonfat dry milk and cheese price forecasts were cut, while the butter forecast was raised.
The Class III price estimate fell to $16.60 per cwt and the all-milk price to $20.70.
Lower Class III and all-milk price forecasts signal weaker milk returns for producers as supply expands. The higher butter forecast only partly offsets the drop in cheese and powder prices.
