The administration's $87.6 billion supplemental request includes $11.1 billion in farm aid, year-round E15 sales, and a change to national hemp law. Most of the request goes to the war in Iran, with the farm aid targeted at 2026 crops and Florida storm losses.
Farm groups want the aid in place before October, when updated safety nets begin.
Year-round E15 would expand ethanol blending and support corn demand, while the aid could sustain production. Both depend on congressional action that has not yet occurred.
