Indonesia has reportedly reversed its domestic market obligation policy, replacing it with higher export duties, with the combined palm export tax and levy ceiling raised from US$375 to between US$575 and US$675 per tonne. The wider gap between Indonesian and Malaysian palm prices was highlighted by Public Investment Bank.
Higher Indonesian export duties are expected to cut Indonesian palm exports and tighten global palm supply, supporting CPO prices while widening the regional price differential.
