Indonesia's palm oil export levy collections reached Rp25.76 trillion in 2024, above the Rp25 trillion target, according to the Palm Oil Plantation Fund agency (BPDPKS). Levies came mainly from RBD palm olein, RBD palm oil, palm kernel shell, palm kernel meal and CPO exports.
The government raised the CPO levy to 10% effective May 17, 2025, which is expected to boost the fund's capacity to support smallholders.
Fund revenue from levies reflects export volumes and funds replanting and biodiesel subsidies that affect future palm supply. The data gives limited direct price signal for near-term markets.
