Indonesia set its June 2025 crude palm oil reference price at US$856.38 per ton, down US$68.08 or 7.36% from May. The export duty was set at US$52 per ton and the export levy at 10% of the reference price, for a total export tariff of US$138 per ton.
The price fell as the formula used median prices from Indonesian and Malaysian exchanges.
A lower reference price reflects weaker palm oil futures and reduces the government's tariff base, which can support export competitiveness. The drop signals softer palm oil prices in the near term.
After 96 past bearish report events, PALMOIL moved a median -0.1% over 5 sessions (48% higher; middle half -1.3% to +1.6%), and -0.9% over 20.
