A nationwide strike in Argentina over a labor reform halted parts of the country. Maritime workers began a 48-hour walkout targeting cargo operations at the Rosario port, and at least 12 grain ships carrying about 381,000 tonnes of soymeal, sunflower seeds, wheat, corn, barley and biodiesel were affected.
Stoppages at Rosario, a major export hub, delay vessel loadings and can push export shipments back, supporting nearby meal and grain prices. The effect is typically short-lived unless the strike extends.
