US soybean futures rose to a two-week high on August 11, 2025 after President Trump urged China to quadruple its purchases of American soybeans ahead of a tariff truce deadline. The White House said the China-US tariff truce was being extended.
Analysts called quadrupling orders highly unlikely.
China has not pre-booked any new-crop US soybeans, so the price rally depends on whether actual Chinese purchases follow. Without them, prices are likely to give back gains and US export sales risk falling short.
