European wheat and corn futures on Euronext fell after new COVID restrictions in EU countries, with December corn down 7.25 euros per ton to 247 euros. Chicago December corn rose 1.1% on Friday before falling 1.1% on Monday, supported by U.S. export sales of 1.43 million tons in the week to November 18.
Ukraine's corn harvest was 87% complete and it had shipped 5.5 million tons of wheat out of a projected 31.5-32 million.
Lower European prices pressure Ukrainian farm-gate bids, and steady Ukrainian wheat exports add to global supply. U.S. export sales provide partial support for corn.
