EIA forecasts U.S. natural gas inventories will reach 3,263 Bcf at end-October 2018, the lowest end-of-October level since 2005. A cold April delayed the refill season by about four weeks, following heavy January withdrawals.
Storage running well below normal heading into winter raises the risk of tight supply and supports natural gas prices, a bullish signal for gas-fired feed and fertilizer costs.
