Argentina temporarily cut grain export taxes from Monday until June, lowering soybean tax from 33% to 26% and wheat and corn tax from 12% to 9.5%. Canada has so far avoided U.S. tariffs, and Japan's MAFF bought wheat from the U.S., Canada and Australia.
Lower Argentine export taxes encourage farmers to sell more soybeans, corn and wheat, adding export supply and pressuring world prices.
