The EIA Short-Term Energy Outlook raised its diesel and gasoline price forecasts, projecting Q2 diesel at $3.13 and a 2018 average of $3.12 a gallon. The revisions were attributed mainly to higher expected crude prices.
A higher official forecast signals expected persistent energy cost increases for farm and feed transport. It reinforces upward pressure on fuel-linked costs.
