IQC's Q3 2018 China pork report shows September slaughter up 2.8% year on year and live hog inventories beginning to rise month on month. Regional hog prices diverged sharply after African swine fever appeared, with Zhejiang up 35% and Liaoning down 27.8% from August to October.
