AHDB's feed market report says UK ex-farm feed prices rose on the month, with wheat at £188.80/t and barley at £140.70/t. It cites strong US and European wheat export demand, including Chinese buying of French wheat, and cuts to Brazil's first maize crop estimate to 19.1 Mt, 18% lower than 2019/20.
Argentine wheat and maize production estimates are also lowered.
Brazil's smaller safrinha-season maize outlook and Argentine drought losses tighten global corn and wheat supplies, supporting feed grain prices and import demand.
