An EWG analysis reported by Bloomberg finds 1% of farm aid recipients collected 23% of subsidy payments in 2019, rising to 24% in early 2020. The top recipients averaged nearly $498,000 per payment, the largest share since 2007.
Concentration of aid in large operations keeps production capacity supported, but the story does not add new supply or demand changes for feed grains.
