Indonesian reporting says Malaysian crude palm oil exports surged 19% in the first half of July from a month earlier, according to Intertek. CPO futures rose 0.87% to 3,933 ringgit on July 17, though traders are cautious because of a new Indonesian regulation.
Strong July export flows from Malaysia tighten available supply and support palm oil prices. Uncertainty around Indonesia's domestic sale rules limits the upside by adding risk to export availability.
