CME Group announced lower daily price limits for live and feeder cattle futures, effective October 25. Live cattle initial limit falls $1.00 to $6.50/cwt and feeder cattle initial limit falls $1.00 to $8.25/cwt.
Narrower daily limits reduce the speed at which cattle futures can move in a single session, limiting volatility but not changing fundamental price direction.
