The EIA national average diesel price rose nearly 2 cents to $3.57 a gallon as of October 28, and is 88 cents below a year earlier. Four of five regions saw increases, while the West Coast slipped slightly.
Diesel costs remain well below last year, which supports lower freight and feed manufacturing costs. Weekly movement is small and regionally mixed.
