A weekly soybean oil update reports that a nationwide strike in Argentina halted soybean processing plants after March 13, disrupting exports from the largest soyoil and meal exporter. Ukrainian soyoil exports also rose sharply in the first half of the crop year.
Argentine processing stoppages cut global soymeal and soyoil export supply, which supports prices for both products until plants resume operating.
