USDA raised its 2025 US milk production forecast by 0.7 billion pounds to 226.9 billion on larger cow inventories. It also cut its cheese, butter, nonfat dry milk and whey price forecasts, and lowered the Class III and Class IV milk price forecasts.
Higher expected milk supply and lower product price forecasts point to weaker milk prices and lower feed-ingredient demand from dairy processors.
