Indonesia is considering a rollout of a 50% palm oil biodiesel blend, known as B50, next year. A subscription commodity intelligence service reports the plan could lift global crude palm oil prices.
The report does not give a firm implementation date.
A larger domestic biodiesel mandate would divert a significant volume of palm oil from exports, tightening global supply. That shift would support palm prices if the plan is confirmed.
