The euro fell more than 2% against the dollar after the EU and US struck a framework trade deal that sets a 15% baseline tariff on EU goods. Strategists say the euro may weaken further in the short term but could recover into 2026.
Euro-zone Q2 growth was 0.1% while US GDP grew 3%.
