The US Dollar Currency Index rose 0.3% to 97.662 after a rebound following the Fed decision. The dollar had fallen on expectations of rapid rate cuts, and sterling weakened on fiscal concerns.
A firmer dollar makes US commodities more expensive for foreign buyers, which is mildly bearish for corn, soybeans and meal prices. The move is small and mainly reflects rate expectations.
