Terrain's early grain outlook for 2026/27 projects corn planted area at 94 million acres with production above 15.8 billion bushels and ending stocks above 1.9 billion bushels. It also projects soybean ending stocks near 370 million bushels and wheat acreage at 45.1 million, among the lowest on record.
Large carry-in stocks and comfortable supplies are expected to cap price recovery in corn, soybeans and sorghum for 2026/27.
