USDA's January 2026 WASDE raised US corn production to a record 17 billion bushels, up 269 million from December on a 0.5 bushel per acre yield increase. US wheat ending stocks rose 25 million bushels to 926 million, and global wheat supplies climbed 4.3 million tons on record Argentine output.
A record US corn crop and larger wheat stocks add substantial bearish pressure on both grains. The size of the surprise makes this a high-magnitude report for feed buyers.
