PUSK analysts forecast Ukraine will harvest at least 11.5-12 million tons of sunflower seed despite southern drought. They expect new-crop prices of UAH 19,000-20,000/t at the start, falling to UAH 16,000-17,000 in September-October if closed deep-sea ports limit exports.
Limited port access keeps the seed supply heavy in autumn, which tends to cap sunflower meal and oil export prices and pressures the crush sector.
