Soybeans opened lower on Monday after Friday gains, with September up 51 1/4 cents on the week. Managed money added 46,592 contracts to its net long, and Reuters reported the White House is considering a 500 million gallon increase in 2027 biofuel quotas, not yet announced.
Potential biofuel quota increases would boost demand for soybean oil, supporting crush economics and meal supply, though the policy remains unconfirmed.
