The diesel market is in a sharp crunch, with prices surging in the U.S. and globally and squeezing businesses, farmers and households. The Trump administration has reportedly considered restricting or banning diesel exports to curb domestic prices.
Diesel is a major input for feed transport and farm operations, so higher fuel costs raise delivered feed costs. A U.S. export restriction could also tighten global diesel supply and push prices higher abroad.
