USDA reported 2024/25 unshipped balances of corn, soybeans and wheat at 23.89 million metric tons for the week ending April 24, up 25 percent year over year. Rail originations were 29,283 carloads and barged grain reached 779,800 tons for the week ending May 3.
High unshipped export balances and strong rail and barge flows point to solid export demand for US grain, supporting corn, soybean and wheat prices.
