India's government approved a one-time special package of Rs 3,500 per MT on DAP sales beyond NBS rates for April 1 to December 31, 2024. The scheme carries an estimated financial impact of Rs 2,625 crore.
The minister gave the information in Lok Sabha.
The subsidy supports Indian DAP availability and import demand by keeping domestic prices affordable for companies. This sustains buying interest in global phosphate markets.
