Crude palm oil recovered to 765 dollars per ton CIF Rotterdam after an early-November fall. Malaysia is expected to raise its biodiesel blend from B7 to B10 around December, and USDA raised the US 2016/17 soybean crop forecast while trimming crush.
Higher Malaysian biodiesel use would absorb about 800,000 tonnes of palm oil, tightening exportable supply and supporting prices. A larger US soybean crop with lower crush points to more soybean meal availability, which is bearish for meal.
