The US dollar fell as tariff concerns eased, and Fed Chair Powell said the central bank was in no rush to cut its short-term rate. Futures priced in about 36 basis points of Fed cuts by year-end, little changed from before his comments.
Easing tariff worries and a patient Fed weaken the dollar, which tends to support dollar-priced commodities and make US exports cheaper for foreign buyers.
