The EIA's December Short-Term Energy Outlook shows the RBOB gasoline futures price fell 4 cents to $1.70/gal by December 7, 2017. The ULSD futures price rose 3 cents to $1.90/gal over the same period.
Gasoline demand and the gasoline crack spread were both near five-year highs for November.
Strong US fuel demand and tight distillate inventories support diesel prices, which feed through to freight and fuel costs for livestock and feed operations. The mixed gasoline and diesel moves signal limited near-term direction for the wider energy complex.
