S&P Global Platts will raise the cargo size of its Long Range 1 USGC-Japan/South Korea tanker assessment from 55,000 mt to 60,000 mt effective February 1, 2018. The change reflects larger cargoes passing the expanded Panama Canal.
This is a benchmark methodology change for refined product tanker freight with little direct effect on feed or grain prices.
