Argentina's government officially cut export taxes on wheat and barley from 7.5% to 5.5%, effective June 2026, after publication in the Official Bulletin on June 3. It also announced gradual soybean export tax reductions beginning in January 2027, at 0.25% or 0.50% per month depending on economic conditions.
Lower export taxes make Argentine grain and oilseed exports more competitive, adding supply to world markets and pressuring wheat, barley and soybean prices.
