About Port Credit
Originally Port Credit was known for its harbor, where grain and lumber were exported. In 1834, a village plan was laid out, and the village thrived for many years as a harbor community. Throughout the years new industries came to the village expanding the diversity and culture of the area. Today, Port Credit is a terrific area with lots to offer. With over 400 stores in the area ranging from restaurants and cafes to professional services, there is something for everyone. You can even visit the harbor and charter a fishing boat. Port Credit also has many festivals and events these including the Waterfront Festival, Jazz Festival, Boat shows, and weekly farmers markets.
