FIP

FIP (Small Pelagics Sustainability) is a company dedicated to improving the management of small pelagic fishery in Ecuador. They provide a range of services, including training for fishermen, research cruises, and analysis of eggs and larvae. FIP is a project that aims to develop the capacity of small pelagic fishery in Ecuador, with the goal of achieving sustainable fishing practices. The company works with all stakeholders in the supply chain, including 17 producers of fishmeal and fish oil, 4 producers of fish feed for aquaculture, and 2 traders of fishmeal and fish oil. FIP has received several awards, including the Global Knowledge Competition and the Recognition ODS of Pacto Global Ecuador. The company is committed to transparency, inclusivity, and participation in its management practices and aims to become certified by MarinTrust.
