The JRC MARS August bulletin found that extreme weather had only limited effect on EU yield expectations, which remain mediocre. Rain delayed harvesting in the north while heatwaves hit summer crops in the south, and the sunflower yield forecast was raised.
Limited yield revisions mean EU supply is roughly unchanged, so the impact on feed grain prices is modest, though grain quality concerns persist.
